Job Title: Technician (Mechanical Build)

Location: Warwickshire

Contract Rate: £21 per hour

Contract Duration: 3 Month Rolling Contract

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (37-hour week)

We are seeking a skilled Technician (Mechanical Build) to join a dynamic team in Warwickshire. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, and precision engineering.

This leading manufacturer in Warwickshire specialises in high-quality vehicle assembly, known for precision engineering and innovation. They offer a dynamic work environment, career growth, and a strong focus on quality and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out full vehicle preparation, assembly, and build, including trim and final assembly.
  • Perform precise mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
  • Build components and sub-assemblies from scratch, ensuring quality and durability.
  • Follow a bay-build process to maintain consistency and high assembly standards.
  • Align panels, adjust gaps, and refine vehicle fit and finish to exact specifications.
  • Install interior trim packages, enhancing both function and aesthetics.
  • Identify and document build issues, providing feedback for engineering and production improvements.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Use a range of handheld tools for precision assembly work.
  • Apply fabrication and welding skills where applicable for specialized tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in vehicle build, assembly, or a similar hands-on technical role.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work with precision components.
  • Skilled in using handheld tools and automotive assembly techniques.
  • Fabrication and welding experience (advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
