The business combines deep expertise in energy markets, engineering, and real estate strategy to deliver commercially driven, future-ready energy solutions. They support institutional asset owners in navigating the energy transition - covering areas such as electrification, on-site generation, battery storage, EV infrastructure, and smart energy systems. Their work spans from feasibility and techno-economic modelling through to implementation and optimisation, with a strong focus on enhancing asset value, improving resilience, and unlocking new revenue streams. The team is particularly active in developing integrated energy strategies that enable participation in flexibility markets, optimise energy procurement, and align with evolving net-zero and ESG requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine energy system models using Gridcog (or similar platforms)
  • Support scenario modelling across integrated systems (Solar PV, BESS, EV charging, grid interaction)
  • Build and maintain cash flow and financial models for energy infrastructure investments
  • Analyse and optimise battery revenue streams (arbitrage, frequency response, flexibility markets)
  • Assess grid constraints, load profiles, and electrification pathways
  • Support development of commercial business cases (ROI, IRR, payback)
  • Provide input on assumptions, cost benchmarks, and day rates
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to validate modelling outputs

Key Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in energy analytics, energy markets, or infrastructure modelling
  • Strong experience with BESS and/or microgrid systems
  • Hands-on experience with Gridcog (preferred) or similar tools
  • Solid understanding of:

    • ~2 days per week (flexible)
    • Remote-friendly (UK-based preferred)
    • Competitive day rate (DOE)

    Nice to Have
