Specialising in the design and development of race-winning vehicles, their projects span advanced motorsport platforms and high-performance technology with real-world applications beyond the track. Based in Silverstone, they are investing heavily in growing a forward-thinking technical team – and this is your opportunity to be part of it.

The Role –

As Senior Electrical Systems Engineer , you’ll take the lead on electrical architecture and systems integration across a range of cutting-edge vehicle programmes – from prototype development to full track deployment.

You’ll define, design, and validate both LV and HV systems, working closely with cross-functional technical and commercial teams. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers and helping shape the future of the electrical & electronics function within the business.

This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives in fast-paced, innovative motorsport environments.

Key Responsibilities –

  • Define and deliver complete electrical systems for prototype and race vehicles
  • Lead electrical design using 3D CAD and 2D connectivity tools
  • Manage the specification, sourcing, and integration of sensors, wiring, and electronic control units
  • Support and lead testing activities including test benches, HiL/DiL rigs, and trackside validation
  • Work collaboratively with project leads to ensure design meets technical, timing, and budget requirements
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers within the electrical team
  • Contribute to system documentation, diagnostics, and fault resolution processes
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and manage external development work where required
  • Participate in international travel for testing and development support

Skills & Experience Required –

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical, Automotive, or Motorsport Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience developing LV and HV vehicle electrical systems in motorsport or automotive sectors
  • Hands-on proficiency in wiring harness design and component integration using CAD tools
  • Strong understanding of Li-ion batteries, PMSM motors, and vehicle control networks (e.g., CAN)
  • Comfortable supporting test activities at track, lab, or rig level
  • Capable of fault-finding and supporting dynamic validation processes
  • Familiarity with motorsport data systems (e.g. Atlas, Wintax, Darab)
  • Proficient in PC-based engineering tools and reporting
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with a methodical approach to documentation

Preferred Experience –

  • Experience in high-performance motorsport environments
  • Trackside support exposure and vehicle commissioning background
  • Project or team leadership experience desirable but not essential
  • Comfortable managing both hands-on engineering and strategic planning
  • Interest in contributing to innovative vehicle technologies beyond racing
