Our client specialises in delivering cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure solutions, working on large-scale EV charging installations for public, commercial, and private sector projects.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Commercial Contracts Manager to lead and manage complex concession contracts with local authorities for EV charging infrastructure. This role is key in securing long-term agreements that support both business growth and public sector requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee contract discussions after award, ensuring terms align with business goals and comply with public sector standards.
- Develop strategies to negotiate terms that optimise commercial benefits while fulfilling procurement and funding criteria.
- Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to craft contracts that address risks and support project success.
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initial conversations to final execution, ensuring deals are concluded efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to public procurement regulations, property agreements, and industry best practices.
- Assess and manage contract-related risks, including financial obligations and performance targets.
- Keep comprehensive records of negotiations and approval processes to maintain accuracy and transparency.
- Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory changes, and market shifts to spot potential opportunities or risks.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Qualifications:
- Strong background in contract negotiation, ideally within public sector procurement or infrastructure projects.
- Experience negotiating concession contracts with local authorities (EV or comparable industry preferred).
- Ability to assess commercial risks and determine key negotiation priorities.
- Familiarity with public sector funding models, procurement frameworks, and contract structures.
- Degree in law, business, or a related field (preferred but not essential).

- Strong commercial mindset with a strategic approach to contract negotiations.
- Ability to break down complex legal terms into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple contracts at once.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving industry with shifting priorities.
