We are recruiting on behalf of a leading European EV charging technology business as it enters its next phase of UK growth. The business has established strong foundations across the UK and Europe and is now looking to significantly accelerate its position within fleet, leasing and automotive. This is a senior commercial leadership position reporting directly to the UK Managing Director. You will act as a key commercial partner to the MD while taking ownership of strategic growth across the fleet and automotive ecosystem. The opportunity suits someone who already knows this market. You may currently be working for an EV charging provider, automotive OEM, fleet/leasing organisation or mobility technology business, but you will have an established network and a track record of developing major commercial partnerships across the sector.

What you'll do

  • Lead the UK commercial strategy across fleet, leasing, automotive and strategic partnerships
  • Personally develop senior relationships with automotive OEMs, leasing companies, fleet operators, brokers, dealer groups and other strategic partners
  • Use your existing market network to create and accelerate new commercial opportunities
  • Win major national partnerships and framework agreements, taking opportunities from initial engagement through commercial negotiation and rollout
  • Identify new routes to market across fleet electrification, home charging, workplace/depot charging and associated EV services
  • Lead and develop commercial teams across key partnership and channel functions
  • Bring greater structure, alignment and accountability across the wider commercial organisation
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, product and European leadership to ensure the UK proposition meets the needs of major fleet and automotive partners
  • Own senior commercial negotiations, pipeline development, forecasting and strategic account planning
  • Act as a senior commercial representative for the UK business and a trusted partner to the Managing Director
  • Help shape the longer-term UK go-to-market strategy as the business scales

What we're looking for

  • Significant commercial experience within EV charging, automotive/OEM, fleet, leasing or mobility
  • An established network across the UK fleet, leasing and/or automotive market
  • Strong relationships with decision-makers across areas such as automotive OEMs, major leasing businesses, fleet operators, dealer groups, brokers or salary-sacrifice providers
  • Evidence of personally winning and developing major strategic B2B partnerships
  • Experience operating with senior Director and C-suite stakeholders
  • Commercial leadership experience, including leading or developing sales/partnership teams
  • Strong understanding of complex technology, infrastructure or solution-led B2B sales
  • Ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on business development
  • Commercially driven, entrepreneurial and comfortable operating within a fast-growing environment

Particularly relevant backgrounds include:

  • EV charging manufacturers/providers
  • Automotive OEMs
  • Fleet and vehicle leasing companies
  • Salary-sacrifice / corporate mobility providers
  • Fleet technology and mobility businesses

Package

  • Annual Bonus
  • Company EV
  • Home EV charger
  • Private healthcare for employee and family
  • Employer pension contribution
  • Hybrid working – minimum two days per week in the London office
  • Significant opportunity to influence the direction of the UK business

Direct EV charging experience is highly desirable but not essential where you bring deep fleet, leasing or automotive expertise and an established network.
