Location: Remote (UK‑based, ideally around South West England)

Overview

My client is looking to appoint a Property Asset Manager to take full ownership of their UK & Ireland property portfolio. This is a newly shaped position where the successful candidate will help build out asset management capability from the ground up as the business continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead asset management across the UK and Ireland portfolio, taking end‑to‑end ownership.
• Establish and implement a portfolio management system and associated processes.
• Identify asset optimisation opportunities, value improvement strategies, and risk management actions.

Commercial & Property Management

• Manage day‑to‑day property matters across multiple commercial sites.
• Deliver on leases, rent reviews, renewals, and wider landlord/tenant responsibilities.
• Provide asset‑level financial oversight including budgeting and forecasting.

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

• Work closely with site partners, including EV infrastructure providers and retail/roadside operators.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, service providers, and external commercial counterparts.

Process & System Development

• Introduce new reporting structures, asset tracking, and operational procedures.
• Drive efficiency, continuous improvement, and best practice property management.

Future Growth

• Shape the function as the portfolio grows and influence long‑term strategy.
• Opportunity to expand responsibilities and potentially support future hires.

Candidate Profile

• Ideally a Commercial Property Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent experience).
• Experienced in commercial property management or asset management.
• Experience in retail, roadside, operational, or EV‑related sites is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a high‑ownership environment with limited supervision.

• Organised, proactive, and capable of building processes from scratch.
• Confident communicator able to engage with partners, operators, and internal teams.
• Willing to travel across the UK & Ireland as needed.
