We're supporting an innovative UK engineering business developing next-generation sustainable aviation technology. Following a period of significant growth, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead the delivery of its ISO 9001 accreditation programme. This is a business-critical assignment where you will take ownership of the project from planning through to successful certification, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to implement a robust Quality Management System and ensure the organisation is fully prepared for external audit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the ISO 9001 accreditation programme.
- Develop and manage the project plan, milestones, risks and deliverables.
- Conduct a gap analysis against ISO 9001 requirements.
- Establish and implement Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
- Review, standardise and improve company procedures and documentation.
- Work with department leaders to ensure compliance across the organisation.
- Coordinate internal audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
- Prepare the business for Stage 1 and Stage 2 certification audits.
- Manage relationships with external certification bodies where required.
- Report project progress and key risks to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience successfully delivering ISO 9001 accreditation projects.
- Strong project management experience within engineering, manufacturing or technology businesses.
- Excellent understanding of ISO 9001 standards and Quality Management Systems.
- Experience driving process improvement across multiple business functions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Able to work on site in Milton Keynes five days per week.
Desirable
- PRINCE2, PMP or APM qualification.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.
- Aerospace, aviation, automotive or advanced engineering sector experience.

- IR35: Outside IR35
- Rate: £50.00–£68.75 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, fully on site
