About the Business
This is a fast-growing, purely B2B clean energy business operating across EV charging and solar. They work with commercial clients across the UK to deliver, manage, and maintain EV charging infrastructure and solar installations. The business is backed by a major group and is expanding its operations capability to keep pace with a growing portfolio of delivered sites.
This is a new role, created specifically to take the weight of fault management and service coordination off the project management team, freeing them to focus on live delivery. You will be a key operational hire.
The Role
As Project Coordinator, you will be the engine room of the operations team, owning the day-to-day management of EV charging and solar faults, coordinating with subcontractors and manufacturers, and keeping customers informed throughout. This is a customer-facing position from day one.
You will log in each morning, review monitoring platforms to identify active faults across the delivered site portfolio, and manage those faults through to resolution. You will liaise with manufacturers, raise RMAs where hardware replacement is needed, coordinate site visits with subcontractors, and keep customers updated at every stage.
The business is also building an integrated monitoring platform that will pull all site data into a single view, making this function increasingly efficient over time. AI tooling is embedded in the platforms to help diagnose issues, so this is not a role that requires deep technical knowledge but rather the ability to act on information quickly, communicate clearly, and keep things moving.
What You'll Be Doing
- Fault Management (EV Charging & Solar)
- Monitor live sites daily via manufacturer and internal platforms
- Log faults, diagnose root cause using platform AI tools, and raise issues with the relevant manufacturer or subcontractor
- Coordinate site visits where needed and manage RMA processes for hardware replacements
- Own customer communication throughout the fault lifecycle, keeping them updated clearly and within SLA
- Close faults on the system and maintain accurate records
Fleet & Service Management
- Support the management of the B2B EV fleet contract portfolio
- Handle annual servicing coordination for delivered sites
- Work with subcontractors to schedule and allocate work nationally
- Keep WIP trackers, mailbox folders, and system records up to date
Project Coordination Support
- Assist the project management team with delivery admin including G99 submissions and DNO applications
- Prepare contractor packs and documentation for site visits
- Support smooth handovers between departments and maintain closeout documentation
- Flag risks and delays early, escalate where needed, and update timescales in the system
Customer & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as a point of contact for customers throughout fault and service processes
- Provide timely, accurate updates aligned to SLA requirements
- Keep internal teams (sales, management) informed of key milestones
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Strong administrative background with the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Confident customer communicator, written and verbal
- Comfortable using CRM tools, Excel, and ticket/tracker systems
- Organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving small team
- Proactive mindset with the ability to escalate and problem-solve independently
Desirable
- Experience in EV charging, solar, or broader renewables operations
- Familiarity with fault management or service delivery workflows
- Understanding of DNO applications or network connections processes
- Previous work with subcontractors or national field-based teams
Career Progression
This business invests in its people. The natural next step from this role is into project management, working closely with the existing PM team to develop skills in full end-to-end delivery. The business will actively support relevant qualifications and professional development, including APM, for the right person who demonstrates ambition and capability.
Why This Role
- Join a sector that is growing rapidly and genuinely matters
- Backed by a major group, with the culture and agility of a collaborative team
- New role with real scope to shape how the function operates
- Clear path to project management for the right person
- Flexible working pattern with a genuinely supportive operations director
