An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Excellence Manager to join a rapidly growing infrastructure and technology business operating within the clean energy and mobility sector. This is a newly created, highly visible role reporting directly into senior leadership and working cross-functionally across technical operations, customer experience, commercial management, and business intelligence teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational performance, service quality, continuous improvement, and cost efficiency across a nationwide network. The position is ideally suited to someone with a strong operational excellence or service delivery background who enjoys working in fast-paced, evolving environments and can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational improvement initiatives across multiple business functions
- Manage and develop customer care operations, driving customer satisfaction and service performance
- Own operational reporting, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and business intelligence analysis
- Deliver cost analysis, budgeting support, and identify operational efficiency opportunities
- Manage supplier relationships, procurement activities, and tender processes
- Oversee contractor performance, SLAs, and service quality standards
- Coordinate infrastructure and technology-based projects across a national network
- Act as a central operational link between technical, commercial, customer, and leadership teams
- Support strategic operational planning and continuous improvement programmes
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in operations management, operational excellence, service delivery, or business improvement
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Experience managing contractors, suppliers, and third-party service providers
- Data-driven decision-making capability with strong analytical and reporting skills
- Budget management and cost control experience
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to drive change and process improvement
- Experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy, mobility, facilities management, or other technical service environments would be highly advantageous
Desirable Experience
- EV charging, energy, utilities, or clean technology sector experience
- Continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Experience with operational dashboards and BI tools (Power BI, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of customer service performance metrics such as NPS/CSAT
- Project or programme management experience
