- Structural concept development, trade studies, and design optimisation
- Liaison with stress, manufacturing, and systems teams to ensure design integration
- Support design reviews and provide technical input through the development lifecycle
- Ensure designs comply with relevant aerospace standards and certification requirements
- Work collaboratively within a distributed engineering team (hybrid / remote setup)
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within aerospace / aviation
- Strong background in aircraft structural / airframe design
- Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g. CATIA, NX, SolidWorks or similar)
- Understanding of aerospace materials (metallics and/or composites)
- Experience working within regulated engineering environments
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver to tight timescales
- UK-based and eligible to work on aerospace programmes
- Exposure to novel or sustainable aircraft concepts
- Experience working alongside stress / analysis teams
