The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in launching and growing the company's presence across England. You'll be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities while managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting through to contract signature. Working closely with commercial property owners, fleet operators, businesses and strategic partners, you'll promote innovative EV charging solutions designed to simplify the transition to electric vehicles.
This role is ideally suited to someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and being part of a business experiencing significant growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across England.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to negotiation and contract award.
- Build strong relationships with commercial customers, fleet operators, property owners and strategic partners.
- Present tailored EV charging and Charging-as-a-Service solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Generate leads through outbound business development, networking and referrals.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations and presentations.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and successfully close new business opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, sales forecasts and activity reports.
- Work collaboratively with delivery, operations and technical teams to ensure successful customer onboarding.
- Attend customer meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions.
- Provide market feedback and competitor insights to support business growth.
- Contribute towards developing sales strategies and supporting the continued expansion of the business across England.
About You
You'll be a highly motivated sales professional with a passion for winning new business and building long-term client relationships. You enjoy working autonomously, take ownership of your pipeline and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments where your contribution has a genuine impact.
Essential Requirements
- Proven track record in Business Development, Sales or Account Management within a B2B environment.
- Experience managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation through to contract award.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Demonstrable success achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines and forecast sales activity.
- Self-motivated, driven and results focused.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to help build and grow a business.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel across England and occasionally to Scotland for training and business meetings.
