My client is a fast-growing European EV charging technology business with a strong presence. They are building out their UK commercial leadership team and this is the hire that everything else builds around.
The Role
This is the number two commercial role in the UK business. Reporting into senior UK leadership, you will provide direction and cohesion across a set of channel teams covering wholesale, build environment, distribution and automotive, each with their own momentum and relationships.
Day to day you will be leading high-level partnership calls, driving commercial negotiations, owning how marketing supports revenue, and making sure the business shows up as a credible, consistent partner across all channels. Hands on at a senior level.
What You Will Do
- Own commercial direction across all UK channels, aligning teams to shared objectives and a consistent framework
- Lead senior partnership discussions at director and C-suite level with wholesale accounts, housing developers, distributors, leasing companies and OEM partners
- Drive the commercial brief to marketing, ensuring activity translates into qualified leads and pipeline
- Build the culture and operating rhythm of the commercial team, supporting channel leads to grow
What We Are Looking For
- Senior commercial or sales director background, ideally in EV charging, energy, built environment or relevant technology
- Track record managing multiple channel teams with accountability for revenue across each
- Comfortable operating at board level with major partners and leading complex negotiations
- A builder, not just a manager. This is a growth stage business and the structures are still forming
Background That Will Stand Out
- Scale-up or growth-stage experience, building commercial infrastructure while growing revenue
- Deputy to an MD or Country Head, stepping up as commercial lead when needed
- Exposure to automotive, fleet or leasing channels
- New-build residential or commercial development sector knowledge
