We are working exclusively with a fast‑growing European clean energy technology business to find their first BMS & IoT Project Manager in the UK. This is a rare ground‑floor opportunity to build and lead the UK delivery operation for a wireless building management platform that is already deployed and scaling rapidly across Europe.

The product uses IoT and LoRaWAN wireless technology to give commercial buildings the controllability and energy monitoring of a traditional BMS, without the cost and disruption of heavy cabling. It is aimed at portfolio‑scale commercial real estate owners who need visibility and control across multiple assets quickly and cost‑effectively. The European team has proven the model. The UK launch is now.

You will be the person who makes it happen on the ground. That means conducting site surveys, building the UK installation partner network from your own contacts, managing the full quotation and procurement process, overseeing installations through to commissioning, and handing projects over to clients. As the team grows, you will build and lead the people beneath you.

This is not a role for someone who needs an established playbook. It is for a technically credible, commercially sharp operator who is energised by building something from scratch.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys and gap analysis: assess existing HVAC equipment and controls infrastructure, and define exactly what is needed to bring each asset onto the platform.
  • Build the UK installation partner network from scratch, drawing on your own contacts across M&E contractors and BMS specialists.
  • Manage the full quotation process: scope works, issue to partners, review and challenge pricing, and ensure alignment with what was seen on site.
  • Programme and coordinate installations across multiple concurrent UK sites, managing timelines with property managers and FM teams.
  • Oversee works on site, conduct QA inspections, manage snagging, and drive through to sign‑off.
  • Coordinate commissioning to ensure all devices are connected, communicating correctly with the platform, and data flows are verified.
  • Lead client handover including on‑site training for FM teams.
  • Fulfil Principal Contractor duties under CDM 2015 on applicable projects.
  • Develop UK‑specific installation playbooks and processes, building on what the European team has established.
What we are looking for
  • Hands‑on experience with IoT and LoRaWAN. You understand how wireless sensor networks and LoRaWAN protocols work in a building context and have deployed or managed systems that rely on them.
  • BMS experience across a range of manufacturers. You have worked with building management systems and can walk into a plant room, identify the controls equipment, and know what is needed to make it compatible with a wireless IoT platform.
  • Multiple years in works management, project delivery or installation coordination within M&E, building controls, BMS or IoT.
  • Proven track record sourcing, qualifying and managing subcontractor and installation partner relationships.
  • Experience preparing installation quotes, cost estimates and commercial scopes of work.
  • Solid understanding of CDM 2015 and Principal Contractor responsibilities.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally, particularly in the early months.
  • Based in or commutable to London.
What's on offer
  • Base salary of £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate.
  • Performance bonus up to 15%.
  • Hybrid working: London office base with flexibility around site travel weeks.
  • An opportunity to build the UK delivery function for a product that is proven and scaling, reporting directly into the founding team.
  • Team leadership responsibility as the UK operation grows.
