About the business:

Our client is a fast-growing EV start-up on a mission to accelerate the rollout of electric vehicle charging across the UK's hospitality and leisure sector. They deploy and operate charging solutions across hotels, leisure venues and destination locations, working in close partnership with major hospitality groups, property owners and national operators to build long-term, scalable charging estates.

The Opportunity:

This is a pivotal hire. You'll be the person who takes their offering to the UK's biggest hospitality and leisure brands and builds partnerships that unlock dozens of sites from a single conversation. You'll own the full commercial relationship from first meeting through to signed agreements, installation and ongoing account growth. You'll build your own pipeline from scratch and, as you succeed, build a team around you.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Partnership and Account Ownership: Identify, approach and win major hospitality groups, property owners and destination operators. Own the full commercial relationship from first conversation through to deployment and long-term growth. Build a pipeline of high-value, multi-site opportunities rather than one-off installs. Secure long-term agreements that position the business as the preferred national EV charging partner.
  • Commercial and Revenue Growth: Drive pipeline conversion with a focus on commercial value, not just volume. Maximise revenue per location and grow account value over time. Work with leadership to structure compelling propositions for target accounts. Spot new market adjacencies and revenue opportunities within your network.
  • Network Expansion: Leverage existing relationships and build new ones across UK hospitality and leisure. Represent the business at industry events, sector forums and senior partner meetings. Act as the external commercial face of the business at senior level.
  • Customer Experience and Retention: This is not a hand-off role. Once you win a client, you own that relationship. Keep partners engaged, satisfied and growing their portfolio post-installation. Proactively manage account expansion as partners add new sites.
  • Team Building (12 Month Horizon): Recruit and lead a team of account managers and BDMs as your pipeline grows. Transition from a predominantly hunting role to a 50/50 split as the team scales. Set the standard for how the commercial team operates.

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • Proven track record winning and growing strategic accounts in hospitality, hotels, leisure or destination sectors.
  • A genuine personal portfolio: deals and relationships that are yours, not your employer's brand.
  • Strong commercial instinct and the ability to structure deals that work for both sides.
  • Some experience building or contributing to a growing sales team.
  • Comfortable in a startup environment: hands-on, self-starting, able to build process from scratch.
  • A hunter at heart who thrives on opening doors, not just managing them.

Ideal Background:

  • Senior sales or account management experience in hospitality, hotels, leisure or multi-site operators.
  • Experience managing group accounts where one relationship unlocks multiple locations.
  • Demonstrable wins with hotel groups, pub chains, leisure operators or similar multi-site businesses.
  • No EV experience needed. They want your sector relationships and commercial track record.
