Company Overview: My client, a high-growth Charge Point Operator (CPO) within the EV Charging sector, is seeking to appoint an experienced Key Account Manager to lead the management of its most strategic enterprise accounts.
Role Overview: My client is hiring a seasoned Key Account Manager to take full ownership of a portfolio of high-value strategic accounts. In this role, the successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for key clients following contractual agreements, ensuring client success while maximising the commercial and operational outcomes of each partnership. The role requires extensive cross-functional collaboration with legal, operations, finance, and marketing teams to coordinate and deliver tailored solutions that drive client value and strengthen long-term relationships. With full P&L responsibility for the assigned portfolio, the successful hire will balance strategic planning, relationship management, and delivery oversight to drive revenue growth and profitability. This is a pivotal role that will directly influence how the business scales and supports large, complex accounts, many of which operate extensive real estate and infrastructure portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for strategic accounts, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction and maximising commercial potential.
- Develop and implement account strategies that drive sustainable and profitable growth.
- Provide regular reporting on account performance, including rollout status, activations, resolutions, and emerging opportunities.
- Conduct frequent review meetings with clients to assess progress, address challenges, and identify growth avenues.
- Take ownership of account P&Ls, ensuring revenue and margin objectives are consistently achieved.
- Support Sales during negotiation phases to ensure client needs are aligned with operational capabilities through implementation, collaborating closely with internal teams including Legal.
- Prepare detailed financial and commercial reports to track performance against targets.
- Drive revenue growth and client satisfaction by identifying upselling opportunities, cross-referrals, and anticipating evolving client needs.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and compliance requirements, driving accountability across teams.
- Coordinate internal resources and subject matter experts to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
- Proactively identify and execute growth opportunities through asset expansion and new service initiatives.
- Carry out additional duties aligned with the role to support business growth and client success.
Requirements:
- Ideally 5+ years in account management, asset management, or a commercial role.
- Experience within the electric vehicle infrastructure, energy, or real estate sector is preferred.
- Exposure to working in a scaling or high-growth business environment would be a strong advantage.
- Experience managing P&L for client portfolios is highly desirable.
- Proven success managing large, complex client accounts and navigating senior stakeholder relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to manage complex business environments and unlock growth opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
