Location: Hybrid (London – 1 day/week)
Salary: £60,000-£90,000 DOE + up to 15% annual bonus + company car
OTE: £74,000 to £108,500

About the Role
This is a critical position within the Energy Solutions division, focused on developing accurate, commercially viable proposals for electric vehicle charging and solar photovoltaic installations.
As an Electrical Estimator, you’ll be central to translating site data and design concepts into winning client proposals, helping accelerate the UK’s transition to cleaner energy. You’ll collaborate closely with surveyors, project managers, and designers while playing a key role in improving the estimating process at a strategic level.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed, technically compliant cost estimates for EV and solar PV projects.
- Collaborate with on-site teams to gather accurate data and validate assumptions.
- Work with CAD and liaise with the internal design team to align designs with proposals.
- Conduct occasional site visits across the UK to support project scoping and verification.
- Engage supply chain and subcontractors for pricing and value engineering.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671 regulations and IET codes of practice.
- Contribute to strategic and leadership-level estimating decisions.
- Support pricing strategy, project planning, and risk assessment functions.
Requirements
Essential:
- Strong estimating experience in EV infrastructure and solar PV sectors.
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation and/or City & Guilds 2921.
- BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) certification.
- Proficiency in CAD and estimating software.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Desirable:
- Civils/utilities sector experience.
- Site-based project delivery background.
- Familiarity with tools such as Trimble or Bluebeam.
- Understanding of commercial/public sector procurement practices.

- Base Salary: £60,000-£90,000 (Dependent on Experience)
