Overview
We are working with a wind turbine service and maintenance business operating across multiple OEM platforms throughout the UK and Europe. They are expanding their UK fleet and are looking for an experienced Wind Turbine Technician to join the team.
The Role
This is a hands-on technical role focused on turbine maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting across UK sites. You will work directly on turbines resolving mechanical and electrical issues, collaborating with remote support teams to analyse data and improve operational performance. There is also an opportunity to share your platform knowledge and support the development of colleagues, making this a great role for someone who enjoys both technical problem solving and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across onshore wind turbine platforms to ensure maximum availability and performance
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults, drawing on walk-down findings and data from remote monitoring systems
- Work closely with remote support teams to interpret operational data, identify trends and implement improvements
- Support the technical development of the wider team
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or demonstrable equivalent experience gained within the wind industry
- Hands-on Senvion troubleshooting experience is essential for this role
- Proven ability to identify and resolve faults found during site walk-downs
- Strong analytical and fault finding skills with a methodical approach to problem solving
- Physically fit and fully comfortable working at height across multiple sites
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel as required
- Available to participate in a weekend on-call rota on a rotating basis
