Overview
Our client is a well established energy solutions business operating across the commercial and industrial solar and battery storage market in the UK. As they scale their project pipeline they are looking for an experienced PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) commercial specialist to support the development and financial structuring of two active projects, with the potential for a longer term relationship as the business grows. This is a hands on, autonomous role for someone who has done this before and can take projects from feasibility through to investor ready stage independently.
Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial and financial structuring of PPA funded solar and battery projects from feasibility through to investor ready stage
- Produce technical design proposals and feasibility assessments in collaboration with third party technical designers
- Build and verify financial models that demonstrate project viability and give confidence to investors
- Structure and negotiate offtake agreements and PPA contracts with end users
- Support the transition from commercial agreement into project delivery, working alongside EPC and installation teams
- Identify and engage potential offtake buyers and route to market partners where relevant
Requirements
- Proven hands on experience structuring and delivering PPA funded solar and battery projects end to end
- Strong financial modelling capability, able to build and present bankable investment cases
- Experience working with investors, developers and EPC contractors across the full project lifecycle
- Self starter mentality, able to work independently and manage projects from start to close
- Existing network across the UK commercial solar and battery market
- Comfortable working on a flexible contractor basis across multiple projects simultaneously
