A rapidly growing cleantech company is looking for a commercially sharp Business Development Manager to own and build out their Destination Charging vertical from scratch. This is a rare greenfield opportunity. You will be their first dedicated hire in this space and will set the blueprint for how they scale this offering across the UK and Europe.
The business is an intelligent EV charging platform that connects cars, chargers, consumers and energy providers. They have strong existing partnerships with major brands and are now accelerating their push into multi-occupancy and shared parking environments.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact, autonomous role. You will own the full sales cycle end-to-end across apartment complexes, office buildings, retail car parks and other shared parking environments. Critically, you will also have a direct line into product and commercial teams; your market insight will shape the proposition itself, not just execute it.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify, prospect and close new B2B opportunities across multi-occupancy residential and commercial properties
- Manage the full sales cycle from outreach and discovery through to proposal, negotiation and contract signature
- Build tailored commercial proposals for property developers, asset managers, building owners and charge point operators
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to grow revenue over time
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, feeding real market feedback into the product roadmap
- Work with product, operations and commercial teams to refine the destination charging proposition
- Track competitor activity and market trends to sharpen positioning and identify new angles
- Represent the business at industry events, property sector forums and EV infrastructure conferences
- Support the development of go-to-market strategy and sales collateral for this vertical
What We’re Looking For
- Experience selling workplace/public/shared EV charging
- Proven B2B sales track record with experience selling directly to end customers (not purely through channel or distribution)
- Background in the EV charging sector; experience in a CPO, charge point management or MDU/multi-occupancy environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the property sector, including engagement with developers, asset managers or facilities management stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to run a full sales cycle and consistently hit or exceed targets
- Strong CRM discipline; comfortable with Salesforce, HubSpot or similar platforms
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK
What’s on Offer
- Competitive base salary and performance bonus
- Hybrid working (London base HQ)
- Private health insurance
- Company pension scheme
- Life assurance (4x salary)
- Income protection for long-term illness
- Cycle to work scheme
- Season ticket loan
- Eye care support
