A growing engineering and project delivery business is seeking an experienced SCADA Termination Engineer to join a major solar PV commissioning project in Dover. This is an urgent requirement with an immediate start needed.
The role is fully site based and hands on, focused on completing SCADA, Modbus and optical fibre terminations across a 53 inverter solar PV installation as part of a fast moving delivery programme. You will work closely alongside LV and MV electrical engineers on site and report directly to the project lead.
Responsibilities- Complete SCADA cable terminations across the full site installation including Modbus communication cables and optical fibre connections.
- Carry out terminations across 53 inverters to SCADA and communications systems.
- Work from electrical drawings, schematics and termination schedules.
- Support installation, testing and commissioning activities across the site.
- Liaise closely with LV and MV electrical engineers to coordinate termination and connection schedules.
- Ensure all work is completed to site and industry standards.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures throughout.
- Report directly to the project lead and contribute to hitting key project milestones.
- Proven SCADA termination experience on solar PV or renewable energy projects.
- Hands on experience with optical fibre termination and Modbus communication cabling.
- Strong understanding of SCADA architecture, PLCs and industrial communications protocols.
- Solar PV inverter commissioning experience highly desirable.
- Network engineering background with SCADA site experience also considered.
- Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and termination schedules.
- ECS Card essential.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification essential.
- Full driving licence required.
- Able to commit to a Monday to Friday on site schedule in Dover from immediate start.
- Full site-based role in Dover.
- Schedule and shift expectations to be confirmed upon appointment.
