Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits
Overview: This is a commercial project management role, you’re not just delivering to a spec and moving on, you’re owning the client relationship end to end, from feasibility right through to asset management, spotting opportunities to grow the account along the way.
The Company: An established renewable energy business helping organisations deliver solar, battery storage and low carbon infrastructure projects is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their delivery team.
The role: You’ll run renewable energy projects from procurement through to practical completion, solar PV, BESS and EV charging schemes for real commercial clients. Alongside that, you’ll own a set of key client accounts end to end, from feasibility through to asset management, so you’re the one they call when something needs sorting. Expect a mix of contract admin, commercial thinking, and enough business development instinct to spot when there’s more work to be won within an account.
Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement, tendering and contract administration for solar PV, BESS and EV charging projects, including JCT and bespoke EPC contract forms
- Own key client relationships end to end, acting as the go to person from feasibility through to asset management
- Manage a portfolio of 5 to 7 live projects at any time, with account management responsibilities growing as you take on more seniority
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts and support wider business development
- Work closely with the Head of Delivery on team growth, mentoring and process improvement as the team scales
Requirements:
- Solar PV project delivery experience is essential
- Battery storage and EV charging experience is a strong plus
- Solid background in contract management and administration (JCT and EPC contracts)
- Working knowledge of grid connection processes
- A background in contracting is ideal, so you already understand the mechanics of project delivery
- Commercially minded, comfortable spotting opportunities within a client relationship, not just delivering to spec
Package: £65,000 to £70,000 depending on experience, with some flexibility for the right person. Bonus based on company performance. Healthcare, pension up to 5%, salary sacrifice car scheme, mileage and travel expensed for site travel. 3 days a week in a Central London office, 2 days WFH, site visits count as an office day.
