We’re supporting a growing EV charging and electrical infrastructure business looking to hire an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee installation activity across commercial EV charging projects throughout the UK. This role would suit a strong electrical supervisor / senior electrician with hands-on experience across commercial or industrial electrical installs, ideally with direct exposure to EV charging infrastructure, particularly DC fast charging up to 350kW.
You’ll be responsible for supervising installers, maintaining compliance, supporting project delivery, and ensuring all works are completed to a high standard, on time and within budget. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being both hands-on and operationally involved, while stepping into a broader leadership position within a growing sector.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of electrical installation quality, compliance and team supervision across live EV and electrical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers with planning and deployment of electrical installation teams
- Manage daily scheduling / planners for Electrical Installers
- Oversee site delivery to ensure all works are completed safely, correctly and to programme
- Produce take-off sheets from drawings and support material procurement
- Ensure all installations are compliant with BS7671
- Review and challenge site-specific RAMS and programmes of work
- Carry out Health & Safety audits and deliver Toolbox Talks
- Review, prepare and sign off electrical certification in line with NICEIC / equivalent standards
- Support handover packs and project close-out documentation
- Supervise electricians and maintain high standards across all works
What They’re Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in electrical supervision / leading electricians on site
- Strong background across commercial or industrial electrical installations
- Hands-on experience with EV charging infrastructure
- Good understanding of DC charging systems up to 350kW
- C&G Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018)
- 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing
- Strong understanding of testing, inspection and sign-off requirements
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and leadership ability
- JIB / CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
