The Role
The EV Charge Point Installer will be responsible for carrying out domestic EV charger installations across a regional patch, alongside commissioning, testing and occasional remedial or warranty work. This is a field-based position suited to a qualified electrician with good customer-facing skills and either existing EV charging experience or a genuine interest in moving into the sector. The role is not aimed at senior-level candidates, but would suit someone hands-on, dependable and looking to develop within a growing market.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation of domestic EV charge points
- Complete commissioning, testing and handover of installed units
- Attend remedial and warranty call-outs when required
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Deliver a professional and customer-friendly service on-site
- Work across a regional patch local to your home base
- Represent the business positively in customers’ homes
- Complete all relevant job documentation and sign-off procedures
About You
- 2391 Inspection & Testing preferred, but not essential
- EV charging qualification preferred, but not essential
- Previous EV charge point installation experience would be ideal
- Strong domestic electrical installation background considered
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and able to work independently in the field
