The Role

The EV Charge Point Installer will be responsible for carrying out domestic EV charger installations across a regional patch, alongside commissioning, testing and occasional remedial or warranty work. This is a field-based position suited to a qualified electrician with good customer-facing skills and either existing EV charging experience or a genuine interest in moving into the sector. The role is not aimed at senior-level candidates, but would suit someone hands-on, dependable and looking to develop within a growing market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out installation of domestic EV charge points
  • Complete commissioning, testing and handover of installed units
  • Attend remedial and warranty call-outs when required
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Deliver a professional and customer-friendly service on-site
  • Work across a regional patch local to your home base
  • Represent the business positively in customers’ homes
  • Complete all relevant job documentation and sign-off procedures

About You

  • 2391 Inspection & Testing preferred, but not essential
  • EV charging qualification preferred, but not essential
  • Previous EV charge point installation experience would be ideal
  • Strong domestic electrical installation background considered
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, professional and able to work independently in the field
