Off-Cycle Intern β Credit Advisory
Programme Dates: January 2027 β June 2027
Group Overview
Evercore's Private Capital Advisory ("PCA") team is the leading global advisor in the private capital secondaries market, providing liquidity solutions to both general partners (GPs) and limited partners (LPs).
Within PCA, the Credit GP Advisory team was established in Europe in 2026 and focuses on advising private credit GPs on continuation vehicle transactions β one of the fastest-growing segments of private markets, with GP-led credit transaction volume tripling between 2024 and 2025.
As the market-leading advisor in the space, the team partners with leading global private credit managers to structure and execute bespoke secondary transactions that align the interests of GPs, existing limited partners, and new secondary investors. The team's advisory work spans portfolio modelling, asset positioning, transaction structuring, and end-to-end process management.
Evercore's emphasis on independent advice, innovative solutions, and execution excellence has established PCA as the market leader, achieving over 50% market share in 2025.
The Opportunity
The Credit Advisory team is seeking candidates to join its five and a half month Off-Cycle Internship Programme from January to June 2027.
We are looking for intellectually curious, highly motivated individuals who are eager to work in one of the fastest-growing areas of private markets and can quickly develop technical and commercial expertise.
As an Off-Cycle Intern, you will gain exposure to high-profile GP-led secondary transactions while developing core technical skills, including financial modelling of credit secondaries portfolios. You will work closely with senior team members throughout live transactions and gain insight into the full deal execution process, from origination through to close.
Responsibilities
Off-Cycle Interns may be involved in:
- Supporting the execution of GP-led credit secondary and continuation vehicle transactions across the transaction lifecycle
- Performing financial modelling, valuation, and analysis of credit portfolios, fund structures, and transaction structures
- Conducting company, sector, sponsor, and secondary market research to support live mandates and business development
- Preparing client presentations, transaction materials, and investor-facing documentation
- Supporting investor outreach and the coordination of transaction workstreams
- Working closely with junior and senior team members on live mandates, pitches, and strategic assignments
Interns will be expected to develop a strong understanding of the commercial rationale, valuation considerations, and transaction mechanics underpinning each assignment, rather than operating solely in a process-support capacity.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
- Strong analytical and quantitative ability
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Sound commercial judgement and intellectual curiosity
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to organise and prioritise work effectively in a demanding transaction environment
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of assigned work
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative deal team
- A genuine interest in private credit, private capital advisory, and the secondary market
Candidates should be motivated by the opportunity to work on complex, fast-growing transactions requiring both detailed credit and portfolio analysis and an understanding of broader private capital market dynamics.
