The Strategic, Defense and Shareholder Advisory team is a global group that focuses on advising clients with respect to shareholder activism, M&A defense, complex/contested M&A and related situations in North America, Europe and Asia.
Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Associate for its Strategic, Defense and Shareholder Advisory Team based in London.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming transactions around the world.
- Engage in a variety of strategic advisory assignments including activism and M&A defense; sell-side and buyside M&A engagements, divestitures and spin-off engagements; special committee engagements; and evaluation of strategic alternatives.
- Collaborate with clients to resolve complex financial and strategic issues.
- Lead and execute live deal situations.
- Draft client presentation materials.
- Assist with new business development.
- Manage Analysts.

- 3-5 years of relevant work experience within investment banking.

- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Calm under pressure with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
