We’re looking for a Chassis & Body Structures Engineer to join our team and help design and develop a bonded aluminium spaceframe chassis for an exciting high‑performance vehicle programme. This role sits at the heart of vehicle engineering, working across the full lifecycle — from early concept through to validation — and collaborating closely with simulation, manufacturing and vehicle integration teams to deliver a lightweight, durable and exceptionally capable structure.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing and developing aluminium BIW and chassis structures
- Applying vehicle dynamics principles to optimise handling and performance
- Managing component packaging within the vehicle architecture
- Integrating NVH considerations into structural design
- Creating and reviewing CAD models and engineering drawings
- Supporting and interpreting FEA / CFD for stiffness, weight and durability
- Performing fatigue and durability analysis using real‑world load cases
- Leading chassis validation and testing, including simulation correlation
- Ensuring compliance with safety, crashworthiness and regulatory standards
- Working cross‑functionally across design, test and manufacturing teams
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or related Engineering
- Experience in chassis, BIW or structural design (automotive or similar)
- Knowledge of lightweight structures (aluminium preferred)
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and structural behaviour
- Proficiency in CAD, with exposure to FEA tools
- Familiarity with NVH, durability and validation processes
- Comfortable working in structured engineering environments
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
