The Electrical & Electronics Technician will support the build, testing and integration of advanced electric vehicle systems within a prototype and low-volume manufacturing environment. This hands-on role will involve electrical assembly, wiring harness manufacture, diagnostics, fault finding and system integration, working closely with engineering, production and test teams to deliver high-quality vehicle programmes.
Responsibilities
- Building and integrating electrical and electronic systems from engineering drawings, schematics and harness documentation
- Manufacturing, modifying, installing and repairing wiring looms and harnesses
- Carrying out precision soldering on PCBs, connectors and wiring assemblies
- Performing electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting and fault finding using appropriate test equipment
- Supporting prototype vehicle builds, production activities and vehicle integration programmes
- Maintaining accurate build records, documentation and traceability in line with quality requirements
Qualifications
- Experience within automotive, motorsport, aerospace, EV or other high-performance engineering environments
- Strong hands-on experience building, modifying and repairing wiring harnesses and looms
- Proven capability in electrical and electronic diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair
- Experience undertaking precision soldering on PCBs and wiring assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Excellent attention to detail with a quality focused and methodical approach
