A high-growth deep-tech business operating at the intersection of scientific instrumentation, battery technology and advanced materials is seeking a hands-on VP of Sales to drive the next phase of international growth. This is a standalone commercial leadership role. There is no existing sales team to inherit—you will be the person building the strategy, developing channel partnerships, creating commercial processes and personally winning key accounts. If you enjoy building rather than managing, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact. Working directly with the founders, you will take ownership of revenue generation across Europe, North America and APAC, helping transition the business from early adopters to a scalable, repeatable commercial model.

The Role

  • Develop and execute the global commercial strategy.
  • Build and manage distributor and channel partner relationships.
  • Personally lead and close complex technical sales opportunities.
  • Establish forecasting, CRM discipline and commercial processes.
  • Represent the business at international conferences, customer sites and industry events.
  • Act as the bridge between customers, founders and technical teams to shape future product direction.

We Are Looking For Someone With

  • 10+ years of experience selling scientific instrumentation, analytical systems or advanced hardware solutions.
  • A strong track record in battery technology, electrochemistry, advanced materials or adjacent R&D markets.
  • Experience growing revenue through distributors and international partner networks, particularly within North America.
  • The ability to hold credible technical conversations with researchers, engineers and industrial customers.
  • A history of personally delivering results in founder-led, high-growth environments.

We would be particularly interested in individuals from:

  • Battery testing, characterisation or diagnostics equipment.
  • Microscopy, imaging or metrology systems.
  • Laboratory and scientific instrumentation.
  • Electrochemistry and materials science technologies.
  • Industrial R&D equipment and advanced manufacturing solutions.
