We’re looking for an ambitious and highly experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a fast‑growing engineering team working at the forefront of next‑generation aerospace and clean‑technology innovation. The successful candidate will lead the development, verification, and certification of high‑integrity Battery Management System (BMS) software, contributing directly to the safety‑critical embedded systems powering future electric aircraft.
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will:
- Develop low‑level software, drivers, and embedded functions for safety‑critical BMS platforms.
- Create, execute, and document unit tests to support verification and DO‑178C‑aligned validation.
- Review software implementations, documentation, and requirements to ensure certification and quality compliance.
- Produce and maintain software specifications, requirements, designs, and traceability artefacts across the full lifecycle.
- Conduct hands‑on debugging and hardware‑interface testing, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Support aircraft‑level integration activities while contributing to continuous improvement of internal software standards.
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of embedded C development experience within safety‑critical environments.
- Proficiency with Texas Instruments TMS microcontrollers and CAN‑based communication systems.
- Strong understanding of MISRA C, embedded methodologies, and low‑level driver development.
- Experience with aerospace certification frameworks such as DO‑178C, ARP 4754/4761, and IEC 61508 SIL‑3.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows and tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and requirements‑management systems.
