We are currently looking for a Senior Commodity Buyer for our client, a developer of electrical vehicles who brings real engagement and emotion to driving electric performance cars. The successful candidate will lead the procurement and supply chain operations as the organisation transitions into production.
The Senior Commodity Buyer will:
- Lead and develop the supply chain strategy to support production and continued innovation.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and contracts to support operational and financial goals.
- Support product development by sourcing new components and materials in line with engineering requirements.
- Oversee materials management and stores operations to ensure an effective supply chain flow.
- Drive supplier consolidation efforts to improve efficiency and performance.
The Senior Commodity Buyer will have:
- Strong experience in procurement and supply chain management within a low-volume, high-performance environment.
- Background in motorsport, aerospace, defence, or niche automotive sectors.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to build and develop a high-performing team.
