From early prototypes to series production, this role sits right at the heart of turning ideas into working technology. We are looking for an experienced R&D Build Technician to support development and manufacturing engineering activities, contributing directly to the creation of innovative 48–1200V scalable e-module technology used across high performance automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications.
The R&D Build Technician will:
- Support Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) workshops.
- Play a key role in development testing activities, from setup through to execution.
- Gather accurate data on functional and performance testing of products.
- Support the management of development workshops and test facilities.
- Assist with the diagnosis and resolution of system and build issues.
- Work closely with the Senior Technician to ensure programme timing and deadlines are achieved.
The R&D Build Technician will have:
- Previous experience as a technician within a technical engineering environment.
- A sound automotive or aerospace engineering background, ideally within product development.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow structured engineering processes.
- Working knowledge of advanced automotive or aerospace product development processes.
- A good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Clear communication skills, with confidence in report writing and presentations.
