We are currently looking for a Process Engineer (Welding) for our client, a leading organisation focusing on battery cell research and manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, validating, and scaling advanced manufacturing processes with a strong focus on welding and joining technologies.

The Process Engineer (Welding) will:

  • Support process design, validation, and continuous improvement across the full production lifecycle.
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to meet product specifications and comply with industry standards.
  • Provide welding methodology for new products or applications, defining parameters, investigating defects, and establishing robust joining methods.
  • Support feasibility trials, pilot production runs, and customer demonstrations, including welding technology where applicable.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for welding technologies while contributing to wider manufacturing engineering activities.

The Process Engineer (Welding) will have:

  • Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in process engineering, manufacturing development, or industrialisation.
  • Knowledge of welding processes (laser welding, joining principles, defect analysis, and welding standards).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and structured approach to process development.
  • Technical mindset, both practical and analytical.
  • Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Supply Chain Management.
