Our client is currently looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a fast‑growing organisation delivering innovative Solar PV, EV charging, and battery storage projects that support the UK’s net‑zero transition. This hands‑on role combines site surveying, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance across a range of commercial and industrial environments.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will:
- Survey electrical infrastructure at potential new sites and specify preparatory works.
- Install and commission Solar PV, EV charge points, and BESS equipment.
- Carry out maintenance, inspections, upgrades, and fault‑finding on existing installations.
- Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance records, RAMS, and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with BS7671, codes of practice, and relevant British/European standards.
- Contribute technical input to the ongoing development of combined Solar / EVCP / BESS technologies.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will have:
- Proven experience in commercial and industrial electrical works, including inspection, testing, Solar PV, and EVCP installation.
- Minimum 10 years’ electrical experience working with three‑phase systems.
- BS7671 (18th Edition) including Inspection & Testing.
- Experience obtaining DNO connections (G99 and/or G100).
- Experience installing Solar PV, EVCP, and networking/communications equipment (Ethernet, cellular, WiFi).
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage external contractors, consultants, and third‑party stakeholders.
