We're looking for an ambitious and highly experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a fastâgrowing engineering team working at the forefront of nextâgeneration aerospace and cleanâtechnology innovation. The successful candidate will lead the development, verification, and certification of highâintegrity Battery Management System (BMS) software, contributing directly to the safetyâcritical embedded systems powering future electric aircraft.
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will:
- Develop lowâlevel software, drivers, and embedded functions for safetyâcritical BMS platforms.
- Create, execute, and document unit tests to support verification and DOâ178Câaligned validation.
- Review software implementations, documentation, and requirements to ensure certification and quality compliance.
- Produce and maintain software specifications, requirements, designs, and traceability artefacts across the full lifecycle.
- Conduct handsâon debugging and hardwareâinterface testing, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Support aircraftâlevel integration activities while contributing to continuous improvement of internal software standards.
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of embedded C development experience within safetyâcritical environments.
- Proficiency with Texas Instruments TMS microcontrollers and CANâbased communication systems.
- Strong understanding of MISRA C, embedded methodologies, and lowâlevel driver development.
- Experience with aerospace certification frameworks such as DOâ178C, ARP 4754/4761, and IEC 61508 SILâ3.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows and tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and requirementsâmanagement systems.
