Our client is commercialising an innovative carbon-based anode material manufacturing process and is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to help take it from lab to large-scale production. In this role, you will be the vital link between R&D, manufacturing partners, and compliance teams — ensuring processes are efficient, safe, and production-ready.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and optimise manufacturing processes for carbon-based anode materials
- Work with external partners to integrate technical knowledge into scale-up plans
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Support scale-up from lab to pilot and full production, including equipment selection and process control
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality
- Contribute to facility layout and future process specifications
About You
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, etc.
- 3+ years' experience in process development or scale-up within chemical, materials, or battery manufacturing
- Experience with carbon materials (activated carbon, graphite) is desirable
- Strong understanding of chemical processing, mass balance, and industrial safety
- Proven track record of working cross-functionally
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
