The is a role where you will Lead the Electronics Development for advanced technology within a state of the art vehicle system. You will support programmes from concept and design through to verification, integration and production, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust and innovative solutions.
The Electronics Design Lead will be responsible for:
- Developing electronics assemblies and PCB layouts for critical vehicle control systems and applications.
- Collaborating with systems, mechanical and EDS teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Designing electronic hardware incorporating microcontrollers, power supplies, FPGA, analogue and digital interfaces.
- Producing detailed electronic schematics and supporting PCB layout activities.
- Supporting commissioning, verification and root cause investigations of electronic systems.
- Contributing to requirements management, FMEA activities and hardware-level functional safety compliance.
The Electronics Design Lead will have:
- A degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience developing electronic systems through the full product development lifecycle.
- Strong analogue and digital circuit design experience, including sensing, signal conditioning and measurement systems.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CANbus and Ethernet.
- Experience designing low-voltage power supplies and evaluating PCB designs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys developing advanced electronic systems, solving complex technical challenges and working across multidisciplinary engineering programmes.
