We are currently looking for an Electrical Category Buyer to join a leading manufacturer of motorcycles based in the UK! The successful candidate will drive the purchasing function of the UK based global brand to ensure a robust and committed supply chain.

The Electrical Category Buyer will:

  • Act as the category expert for electrical components, managing the supply base, costing, and supplier sourcing.
  • Lead early supplier engagement for new projects, including supplier validation and tracking.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts for new and development products, ensuring manufacturing feasibility and capacity reviews are completed.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships with clear and consistent communication.
  • Support purchasing and related departments by proactively managing supply risks that could impact projects.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and order schedules.

The Electrical Category Buyer will have:

  • 3-year minimum Industry experience in Engineering or Manufacturing company.
  • Proven experience in Electrical category procurement.
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive or Supply Chain.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Technical knowledge to interpret drawings and specifications to ensure supplier alignment.
  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management abilities.
