This role focuses on providing technical leadership in the development of advanced battery management system (BMS) electronics for high‑ and low‑voltage applications. The Technical Specialist - BMS Hardware will act as a subject matter expert, leading the development of hardware architectures and supporting engineering teams across the full product lifecycle. The position combines deep technical expertise with leadership, supporting the delivery of safe, reliable and high‑performance battery systems.
The Technical Specialist - BMS Hardware will:
- Lead the development of BMS electronic architectures for battery systems and electrified platforms.
- Define and review hardware requirements, specifications and system architectures.
- Support the design and development of electronic systems including monitoring ICs, microcontrollers and power management.
- Lead technical reviews of schematics, PCB layouts and system integration activities.
- Support verification, validation and fault investigation of hardware systems.
- Contribute to safety activities including DFMEA and compliance with functional safety standards.
The Technical Specialist - BMS Hardware will have:
- A degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in the development of battery management systems for lithium battery applications.
- Experience in schematic design, PCB review and hardware verification for complex systems.
- Strong understanding of analog and mixed‑signal electronics design.
- Experience working with communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C and CAN.
- Strong problem‑solving capability and experience debugging complex systems.
