Our client specializes in the design and manufacturing of bespoke components for motorsport and Formula 1 industries. The team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of performance and quality, providing our clients with innovative, high-performance solutions. We are seeking a 5-Axis CNC Programmer and CAD/CAM Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Reading and Interpreting CAD Drawings: Accurately interpret complex 2D and 3D CAD drawings, ensuring designs meet the strict requirements of motorsport and F1 standards.
- 5-Axis CNC Programming: Program and optimize toolpaths for 5-axis CNC machines, ensuring the production of high-quality, precision components.
- CAM Software Expertise: Utilize Hypermill (or similar CAM software) to convert CAD models into machinable toolpaths. Optimize machining strategies for complex parts.
- Machine Setup and Calibration: Oversee machine setup, including the selection and configuration of tools, fixturing, and machine calibration to achieve desired tolerances.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving any machining or design-related challenges, ensuring smooth production and high-quality results.
- Collaborative Communication: Work closely with design engineers, quality controllers, and production teams to ensure seamless workflow and clear communication regarding part requirements and challenges.
- Contribute to process optimization, identifying areas for increased efficiency without compromising quality or precision.
Qualifications:
