We are currently looking for a Cell Scientist for our client, a developer of high-performance solid-state sodium batteries designed to offer safety, sustainability, and lower cost versus lithium-ion.
The Cell Scientist will:
- Work with the R&D team to develop and implement milling and doping processes, and associated QC process in a laboratory setting, to support the Battery development program.
- Apply 6σ principles of lean manufacturing in issue resolution and to design of experiments.
- Develop battery manufacturing processes at a development level.
The Cell Scientist will have:
- BSc / BEng (or higher) in physical/material science, engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience with relevant characterisation techniques (rheology, particle size analysis, XRD, SEM etc)
- Knowledge of and interest in (i) layer deposition, (ii) material processing.
- Advanced MS Office skills and preferably statistical analysis software skills.
- Hands-on problem-solving methodology applied to materials science and chemical processes.
- Ability to think creatively and pursue opportunities for innovation.
