The BMS Engineer will play a key role in the development of battery management system algorithms, supporting the design, calibration and validation of advanced battery control strategies. Working across battery systems, software and validation teams, you will contribute to the delivery of high-performance battery solutions from concept through to production.

The BMS Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing BMS algorithms for SOC, SOH, SOP and broader SOX estimation functions.
  • Designing, calibrating and validating battery control strategies across different cell chemistries and applications.
  • Creating mathematical models and estimation techniques, including equivalent circuit models and Kalman filtering approaches.
  • Analysing cell and pack test data to improve model accuracy and algorithm performance.
  • Defining calibration methodologies and supporting system integration activities.
  • Collaborating with software teams to integrate algorithms into embedded BMS platforms.

The BMS Engineer will have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing BMS algorithms and battery state estimation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of SOC, SOH, SOP and SOX methodologies.
