We're supporting a growing battery technology company in hiring a Battery Anode Engineer to help develop and optimise porous silicon anode materials for real lithium‑ion cells. This hands‑on role sits at the intersection of materials science, electrochemistry, and product engineering.

The Battery Anode Engineer will:

  • Prepare electrodes and assemble lithium‑ion test cells.
  • Design and run experiments to evaluate electrode formulations and cell performance.
  • Analyse electrochemical data (capacity, CE, degradation trends) to identify improvement paths.
  • Support optimisation of electrode formulation, processing, and cell architecture.
  • Collaborate with electrochemistry, materials, and process engineering teams.
  • Document results, report insights, and contribute to technical development and IP.

The Battery Anode Engineer will have:

  • Strong knowledge of Anode material characterisation.
  • Hands‑on experience with battery cell assembly and electrochemical testing.
  • Strong knowledge of battery cell formulation, cell design, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to interpret experimental data and translate it into actionable improvements.
