Join a growing engineering team developing next-generation electric drive systems for advanced automotive applications. The

Power Electronics Engineer will support the design and development of high-performance traction inverters, working across the full product lifecycle from concept and simulation through to testing and validation.

The

Power Electronics Engineer will be responsible for

  • Designing high-performance traction inverter hardware for automotive applications.
  • Developing electronic schematics and multilayer PCB layouts.
  • Designing power and control electronics, including sensing, protection, communication and power supply circuits.
  • Performing circuit simulation and model development to support design validation.
  • Supporting PCB bring-up, debugging and root cause investigations.
  • Carrying out laboratory testing and validation using a range of electronic test equipment.
  • The

Power Electronics Engineer will have

  • A BEng, MEng or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2–4 years' experience developing electronic hardware within an engineering environment.
  • Experience designing schematics and PCB layouts using Ki Cad or similar ECAD software.
  • Experience using LTspice or equivalent circuit simulation tools.
  • Experience working with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Knowledge of power electronics, including MOSFETs, IGBTs and gate driver circuits.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and practical experience debugging electronic hardware.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands‑on development work and wants exposure to the full engineering lifecycle, from design and simulation through to testing and vehicle integration.
