Our client, a manufacturer of high-quality, high performance and sustainable batteries is currently hiring a Logistic Automation Engineer - Level 5. The successful candidate will help shape global logistics strategy and lead the design and implementation of a world-class automated operation using AGVs and ASRS.
The Logistic Automation Engineer will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of ASRS solutions across the UK plant, including specification, design, installation and testing.
- Manage logistics automation suppliers to deliver projects on time and in line with business needs.
- Evaluate RFQs and support supplier selection and nomination processes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure site and building readiness for automation projects
- Contribute to the development of the logistics strategy for future project phases.
The Logistic Automation Engineer will have:
- Experience with ASRS Warehouse Control Systems and the interface with upper-level systems e.g.
- Delivered logistics projects utilising project management techniques to ensure the on-time delivery of planned outcomes
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes, tools and techniques.
- Demonstrable ability to build relationships and work with cross functional teams.
- Experience with the design, optimisation, installation and commissioning of ASRS systems ideally within the battery or similar industries.
