12 month FTC: This role supports advanced material characterisation activities within a laboratory environment, playing a key role in production campaigns and product validation. The Analytical Scientist will lead laboratory operations, manage a team of technicians while ensuring accurate testing, analysis and reporting. Working within a fast-paced environment, the role combines hands-on laboratory work with team leadership and continuous improvement activities.
The Analytical Scientist will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of laboratory technicians supporting sampling, measurement and testing activities.
- Ensuring materials meet defined specifications and customer requirements.
- Analysing data and issuing corrective actions based on test results.
- Maintaining, calibrating and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
- Reporting experimental results for internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting fault analysis and determining appropriate testing methods.
The Analytical Scientist will have:
- A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years experience working in an industrial or academic laboratory environment.
- Strong understanding of materials.
