This role focuses on supporting the installation, maintenance and fault‑finding of fire alarm and AOV systems across a range of sites. The Fire Alarm Engineer will work independently and as part of a wider team, delivering both service and small installation works while ensuring systems remain compliant, reliable and fully operational.
The Fire Alarm Engineer will be responsible for:
- Carrying out fault finding and maintenance on hardwired and wireless fire alarm systems
- Commissioning and programming open protocol fire alarm panels
- Installing and replacing fire alarm panels, devices and associated equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving faults on AOV systems, including actuators and control panels
- Supporting installation and maintenance of wireless fire alarm systems
- Maintaining accurate records, reports and service documentation
The Fire Alarm Engineer will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working with fire alarm and AOV systems
- Experience with both hardwired and wireless systems
- Experience supporting installation and commissioning activities
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic capability
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
