The Design Engineer will play a key role in delivering complex engineering projects from concept through to manufacture. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will combine technical expertise with project coordination, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and working closely with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams to keep projects moving forward.
The Design Engineer will:
- Manage engineering projects from concept through to delivery.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, resource allocations and risk registers.
- Coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Finance teams.
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support procurement activities.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure materials and components are delivered on time.
- Identify and resolve project risks, issues and delivery challenges.
- Support prototype builds and manufacturing activities.
- Provide regular project updates and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
The Design Engineer will have:
- An Engineering or Operations background
- Experience managing engineering or product development projects.
- Strong project planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within fast-paced, small-team environments.
- Knowledge of BOM management and supply chain activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive projects through to completion.
