Our client, a leading innovator in battery technology, is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Lead to drive collaboration and growth across the sector. You\’ll play a central role in building high-value relationships with industry, academia, and government, unlocking opportunities that will accelerate the development and commercialisation of next-generation battery solutions.
The Strategic Partnerships Lead will:
- Identify and engage with strategic partners across the battery, clean energy, and advanced materials sectors.
- Build relationships with universities, research institutions, and innovation networks to explore joint projects and grant opportunities (e.g., Faraday, APC).
- Collaborate with purchasing teams to maintain strong supplier relationships critical to delivering the APC-funded scale-up project.
- Represent the organisation at industry expos, conferences, and networking events.
- Map and track the UK battery materials ecosystem to identify collaboration and innovation opportunities.
- Work closely with internal teams to align partnership opportunities with project needs and timelines.
The Strategic Partnerships Lead will have:
- Degree-level education in a relevant field such as materials science, engineering, or sustainability.
- Proven experience in building and managing strategic partnerships within cleantech, battery materials, energy storage, or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of battery technologies, the energy value chain, and industrial decarbonisation.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior leaders, academic partners, and government representatives.
