The Production Manager (Manufacturing Engineering) will take ownership of production planning, operational performance and team development, while ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment and quality standards are fully aligned to deliver efficient and consistent output. The Production Manager (Manufacturing Engineering) will be responsible for:
- Leading day-to-day production operations, including planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
- Supporting and developing production teams, including mentoring skilled and semi-skilled operators.
- Driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes, efficiency and quality performance.
- Working closely with equipment suppliers and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Overseeing maintenance activities and ensuring equipment reliability and uptime.
- Ensuring production processes meet customer quality and compliance requirements.
The Production Manager (Manufacturing Engineering) will have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification (HNC/HND) in an engineering discipline.
- Proven experience within a manufacturing engineering environment, ideally Tier 1 or Tier 2 (non-OEM).
- Strong knowledge of complex assembly processes and precision manufacturing systems.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, ISO9001 and IATF standards, including quality tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC and Control Plans.
- Practical understanding of production equipment, troubleshooting and operator support.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing production teams.
