Our client, an innovative UK-based manufacturing business specializing in sustainable battery production for electric vehicles, is currently looking for a Purchasing Lead. The successful candidate will ensure cost efficiency, supply security, and compliance across a multi-tiered supply chain, supporting the transition from R&D to full-scale manufacturing.
The Purchasing Lead will:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw materials, components, and capital equipment.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure a reliable, high-quality supply chain.
- Implement ERP/MRP systems to optimize procurement operations.
- Manage the acquisition of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production infrastructure.
- Work with finance and operations teams on budget forecasting for procurement and capital investments.
- Oversee licensing agreements related to technology, intellectual property, and supplier partnerships.
The Purchasing Lead will have:
